It’s that time of year again for me! My boys have birthdays in November only six days apart so for the next couple of years (well at least until they start to complain about it) they are destined to have combined parties. So this year the theme that won out was an Angry Birds Star Wars Party.
Those with boys between the ages of 4 and 14 will totally understand!
I swore to myself last year that I wouldn’t have a party this year. I know it is part of my business to design and sell party themes, but I guess it is likened to a builder never finishing his/her own house, I just don’t enjoy throwing parties!! BUT it was a good excuse to add a new theme to my online store, and truth be told I do like the compliments that come from both kids and parents when they attend one of my parties.
So here are a few visuals of our fun filled day…
Dad was in charge of making the pool noodle light sabers (as seen on Pinterest!) which went down a treat. I really should have purchased enough for everyone – it would have saved a few tears and tantrums! The kids also painted some pigs on boxes and set up towers to knock over with a few soft balls. Great for letting off some steam!
Always a winner is the good old Pin the Tail game, which I turned into a ‘Pin the Light Saber on the Angry Bird‘.
