Bring On Summer!
Saturday in Auckland was a fabulous sunny day. A perfect day for my boys’ “Bring On Summer” birthday party!
Leo, 5 and Ash, 3 have their birthdays in November and they are destined to have joint birthday parties for the foresee-able future. Last year it was a Dinosaur Theme (as seen here on Baby Bites) and this year they have been talking about Transformers and Spiderman themes but I had other ideas. Being a killjoy I decided I was going to keep it simple. You’d think seeing as I design party printables I’d be right into the whole party thing, but it produces a lot of anxiety, mainly because I am such a perfectionist (hey I’m a Virgo).
So this year as I was yearning for some sun I decided I would design a generic old school themed party, based on stripes, polka dots, traditional party food and old style fun and games. We had a sausage sizzle, fairy bread, chocolate crackles, an awesome obstacle course inspired from here, a sprinkler/water slide run, cake and ice blocks!
BEST. PARTY. EVER.
Except I forgot to hand out the ice blocks after all the water slide fun. Doh!
