Donut Tree – Party Games

| October 23, 2012 | 1 Comment

My boys, 2 and 4, have birthdays fast approaching. There is only six days between their special days and I see a long tradition of combined birthday parties coming up in their future. It is one of those things they are probably going to remind me of when they are all grown up, just like I remind my mum of how she dressed my 13 month older sister and I alike when we were kids… my sister got the pinks and reds, I got the blues and browns! Cheers Mum!

You would think as I design party packs for other parents I would be right into going all out for my own kids. Sorry to dispel the myth! As much as I love designing them I hate organising them! This year I am keeping it simple… I won’t reveal my ideas just yet as I might just feature it here. But I came across this feature over at Oh Happy Day today and this I must do – The Donut Tree… genius!

On the subject of Oh Happy Day, O.M.G. what an amazing site full of gorgeous unique DIY projects! I literally spent hours on this site the other day. Here is a sneak peek at some projects I found.

Cloud Halloween Costume

How to Prefectly Frost a Scallop Cake

Kids Hot Air Balloon Photo Booth DIY

Veggie Boats

plus much much more.

Plus they have free printables. Awesomesauce!

What are your fail safe, on the cheap party ideas?

I tried the donut tree out in February for a family day. It worked really well and was a great chance to get photos of all the kids and teenagers.
