Tell us a little about your blog.
Sarah Sees The World is my travel blog, full of experiences and travel tips. If quitting my job and travelling full time was a possibility I would do it, but in the meantime I want to inspire others like myself who travel part time but obsess about travel full time, to make the most of the travel time and budget they do have.

My blog also documents my 30 Before 30 achievements as I work my way through a list of places I’ve been meaning to visit, challenges I’ve wanted to take on, skills I’ve been planning to learn, and personal breakthroughs I’ve been hoping to have.

What is the story behind how you came to be a blogger?
I started blogging as I had been reading a few blogs and wanted my own space on the internet. I started a blogspot blog, and it took a year or so to find my way and my niche before Sarah Sees The World became closer to what you see today.

Where do you go or what do you do to get inspiration for your blog?
Other than my from own travels I get inspiration for my blog from friends asking me for travel advice, and travel blogs I read myself.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learnt and how has it shaped you?
I think I learnt the hard way (and several times over) to take opportunities presented to you. it’s so true that you regret the things you don’t do rather than the things you do.

What one piece of advice would you give to new bloggers?
Join forums such as #brunchclub and #nzbloggers to interact with other bloggers. It’s something I wish I’d done much earlier and the help, advice and support offered is priceless.

Name some of the bloggers that you look up to and why?
I few of my favourites are Brooke from World of Wanderlust, The Blonde Abroad’s Kiersten and Liz aka Young Adventuress. These girls quit their jobs to travel and blog and I admire them for the work they’ve put in and the success they’ve had with their blogs. They’re great reads.

About You:

What do you think about when you are alone in your car?
There’s probably not a lot of thinking going on as I’m singing along to the radio, but ultimately I’m thinking about my to-do list wherever I’m going.

What song is your personal anthem?
My personal anthem changes by the week! Something popular you’re guaranteed to be sick of within the next month.

If we came to your house for dinner, what would you prepare for us?
I’m a bit of a failure as a chef so probably a simple stir fry or pasta bake I’m afraid! There’d be plenty to drink to make up for it.

In the movie of your life, who would play you?
Anna Kendrick – aside from the obvious similarities (we both have brown hair), we’re a similar age and she just seems cool.

Where is your happy place, and why?
Failing a beach under the sun in some exotic location I’m a big fan of having my own space so I’m pretty happy just chilling out at home!

How would you describe your personal style?
Borderline gym gear – I often wish Lululemon could pass in a corporate environment.

What is the last thing that made you say ‘wow’?
Last weekend I visited my grandparents and we looked through photos not only of my own childhood but those of my mother, aunt and grandparents.

What is your wish for the future?
I’d love to be able to be self employed, happy, and able to travel as I please.
