Let There Be Light – Wedding Lighting

| November 11, 2012 | 5 Comments

I have been engaged to my partner for almost 10 years now.  We have tried, and then given up planning a wedding numerous times in those 10 years.  So I’ve had plenty of time to daydream about just what kind of wedding I’d like to have.  In every single version of my ‘imaginary dream weddings’, there is always a common theme – gorgeous ambient lighting, at the wedding reception and possibly even the ceremony for an evening wedding.  I think, if all you had at a reception was great lighting, and great music, you really couldn’t go wrong.  The atmosphere provided by great lighting at either the ceremony, reception, or both, is not only relaxed, but romantic and fun as well.  Here are some of my favourite images of great wedding lighting.

Which would you prefer, Fairy Lights or Lanterns?

    Lanterns for sure 🙂

  2. Beautiful pictures! Lighting definitely sets the mood for a wedding and reception.

Fairy lights 🙂 I plan on doing those and setting off flying paper lanterns at the end of the reception. 🙂

I would always opt for fairy lights but that’s just my personal opinion. Lanterns are lovely, but I just think fairy lights can help such a magical atmosphere
