The Amazing Two Ingredient Cookie…
I’ve just seen this recipe on Facebook via Recipe by Photo and had to share!
We recently reviewed one of the fabulous 4 Ingredient books here on LDM and loved the simplicity of only using 4 ingredients but this here recipe from The Burlap Bag uses only 2, yes 2, ingredients plus whatever add-on you want to include… for example choc chips or walnut pieces.
Such a guilt free way to enjoy more than one cookie, not to mention great for those affected by dairy, egg or wheat allergies.
The 2 Ingredient Cookie
2 large old bananas
1 cup of quick oats
Mix together. Old bananas are best, but you can use fresh ones too.
Then add in whatever you love:
-a handful of chocolate chips
-crushed walnut pieces
-cinnamon
-raisins
Makes approx 16 cookies.
Cook at 350°F (180°C) for 15 minutes on a greased cookie sheet.
A more detailed recipe and more photos can be found here at The Burlap Bag.
I for one can not wait to try these!

Oh wow these are on my must cook list!!!!1
Ever since you posted this recipe I have been making these regularly for my 2yr old son and he loves them, so on Tuesday I took the ingredients to his playcentre session, plus a few wee add ins, and made them with the kids in a cookery session and then they ate them at morning tea.
Everyone seemed to enjoy them, but couldn’t help but chuckle at one little boys reply to recieving said cookie ‘Oh no, it’s not chocolate’. Classic.
That’s great Gillian! They go down well here whenever I make them too.
Do the boys still like these Nicky? I am going to try these for sure!
One does, the other is not so sure… I think it may need some tinkering with the quanitites as they sometimes come out a bit dry. Also the one who doesn’t is very much a sweet tooth and these are definitely less sweet tasting than regular cookies.
Perfect for what I’m looking for!!! thanks Nicky for sharing this recipe with me! x
No problem!
