Winter is truly upon us now and that always makes me think of freshening up those cosy spaces we like to cocoon in over winter. The living room and the bedroom. I think the easiest way to do this is by adding new colour with accessories and bedding. In comparison to renovations and the addition of fresh colour and texture this is a relatively inexpensive way to get a room lift.
My personal home style is generally eclectic. I love to mix furniture styles from relaxed modern looks with antiques or vintage finds. So at my place you’ll find the big buys are usually in neutral colours or fabrics (like the sofa) but other pieces are collected over time. I love the memories of these collectibles and the way my home seems to allow me and others feel relaxed and comfortable.
Lately I’ve been drooling for Navy or Sapphires mixed with soft and dark greys and punched with Emerald. The colour palette is dramatic and different while still working well with neutrals. I found a few key pieces from Freedom & Ezibuy to give you an idea how this can work as a look. Check out the mood board.
Ezibuy’s Hampton Linen Duvet set and accessories. Linen is actually easy to live with and if you’re a keen supporter of the “Unmade Bed” movement, then this look is for you. Add a throw for extra warmth or for the dog/cat to sleep on at the end of the bed.
